Qld: Three to stand trial for importing drug precursor to Qld

BRISBANE, Dec 17 AAP - Three people have been committed to stand trial on charges of
importing a commercial quantity of the main ingredient in the drug fantasy.

In the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday Steven Hill, 30, Candice Ruth Gray,
25, and Anthony Broad, 36, were committed to stand trial for importing the liquid fantasy
precursor from China to the Gold Coast in 2006.

Hill also was committed to stand trial for deprivation of liberty, robbery with violence,
common assault and unlawful use of a motor vehicle in relation to his alleged dealings
with Gold Coast dealer Ben Radcliff.

Finks bikie Yassar Bakir, the brother of mobile phone retail chain entrepreneur Ron
Bakir, will also have his committal hearing via videolink at 2.30pm (AEST) on Wednesday.

Bakir faces similar charges to Hill.

A date for the trial of Hill, Gray and Broad is yet to be fixed.
