Qld: Qld road toll rises to five
Queensland's road toll rose to five today after a three-vehicle accident in the Sunshine
Coast hinterland.
An Energex community rescue helicopter spokesman says the accident happened in wet
conditions on the Bruce Highway near Eumundi at about noon (AEST).
He says a young woman was airlifted to Nambour General Hospital suffering multiple
injuries after being trapped in one of the cars.
Another person died at the scene and several others were treated by ambulance officers
and taken by road to Nambour hospital.
No further details are immediately available.
